Welcome to Arizmendi San Rafael, your worker-owned neighborhood cafe. We are committed to shaping a culture that values economic justice, physical labor, joy and cooperation while simultaneously producing quality, affordable, locally sourced goods.

All of our artisan crafted baked goods are prepared from scratch with joy and care. We proudly serve locally roasted and certified Organic Equator Coffee & Teas for our drip coffee, espresso, hot tea, iced tea, and cold brew.

Berkeley’s gourmet institution, the Cheese Board, is the model and inspiration for our products and our way of doing business. The Cheese Board is a founding member of the Arizmendi Association, which includes five bakeries all dedicated to serving our community top-quality products and creating locally-rooted jobs. Each bakery is cooperatively owned by its crew of artisan bakers.
